Here is a mock/finished pomander/kissing ball. Im happy with the way it turned. It didnt take long to make. I used a  5in styrofoam floral ball, a bush of silk hydrangeas flowers and 4 strands of beads and teal ribbon. I have 7 more of these to make including  a smaller one for the flower girl. Will post more as they are finished.

Over Labor Day weekend Michaels had a 15% off entire purchase sale and a 50% off 1 item coupon. So I was able to get my mini art canvas's and easls for my table numbers and the wooden dowles for my for ribbon wands. Im so happy I got these items and can start to work on them.  Going to do a mock-up of each to see how I want them to look.. will post a pic soon !

So after looking at the mock up of the main cylinder for the centerpiece. I thought having 3 peacock eyes was a bit much and wanted to tone it down a bit. So in stead Im going to use 1 eye and 2 swords. I think its looks alot better and Im happy with how it turned out !

Eventually Im going to get myself motivated to not only get supplies but to start on my projects. I have a long laundry list of things to do. I have 9 months and a week to go. With it being mid Aug I know this is going to fly by !

During the week, I was able to do mock-ups of some of my DIY  projects. The Invitation, centerpiece, and bouquet. I am so excited how they are turning out !

For the bouquets, boutineers, and corsages, I am using silk flowers. These are gerber daises and hydrangeas with 3 peacock feathers. I used 2 bushes of the hydrangeas and 8 gerber daises to go around and make the bouquet look full. For the stem I used the cardboard roll from the foil to give it some length. The inside of the roll I glued the hydrangeas, then on the outside I glued the gerber daises. then just wrapped the ribbon around and viola..there's the bouquets ! Im with how it turned out.

For the invitation, I'm using cardstock. FBIL is making a monogram for the front. so will post later. I used a stamp on the side. I will use a different ink, ribbon and peacock. The inside is not typed up yet. Will post when actually completed !

I got some items, sometime doing this week I will do some mock up and post pics here..wish me luck !

Ok...so here we go ! As I go thru this planning process I am hoping to DIY alot of things that will be cost and time efficient. I have vision and can't to see it come to life...As I update on here how the projects come along, when they are completed I will post pics on the "MY STUFF" tab...so wish me luck !!
